Financial technology company Fexco collected a prestigious award at the Women in Finance Awards Ireland on Thursday 28th November.
The annual Women in Finance Awards Ireland is the sector’s largest diversity initiative celebrating advocates and role models for women in finance. The event took place at Clontarf Castle, Dublin with Fexco’s Finance team receiving the highly coveted award in the category of “Finance Team (led by a woman)’’. The team is led by Ruth Smith Allen, Divisional Finance Manager.
The team under Ruth’s guidance were highly commended for their detailed analytics, development and improvement of internal processes with the judging panel stating,
“Under the leadership of their manager during the past 11 years, this Finance Team has built detailed analytics tools that allow for weekly reporting on a granular level. This reporting plays a vital role for the business as a whole and influences management decisions. As cash was at threat to become a legacy business during this transition automation was at the forefront. Not to automate data processing, but to provide value-add analysis and improve processes. This Finance Teams work has shown a clear ROI and has played a crucial part in achieving a 12% market share growth over 7 years’’.
More than 500 senior financial executives attended the event from leading sectors with over 60 shortlisted nominees chosen across more than 10 categories.
Categories on the night included; Employer of the year, Fintech project of the year, Fund Manager of the year and Woman of the year.
