Fexco’s Women In Payments Network hosts its ‘Open Banking Open Minds’ conference in advance of International Women’s Day in association with RDI Hub

International fintech organisation, Fexco hosted its second Women in Payments Conference in association with RDI Hub in Killorglin, Co Kerry on Wednesday March 4th, 2020.

The event, this year themed ‘Open Banking Open Minds’ welcomed over 100 attendees and international speakers to Ireland’s South West, a region recognised as playing a significant role in Ireland’s burgeoning fintech sector.

International Women’s Day will be celebrated on 8th March 2020 with the theme ‘An equal world is an enabled world’. Fexco’s celebration of International Women’s Day welcomed a host of speakers and contributors from organisations including AIB, Bank of Ireland, Ulster Bank, Banking and Payments Federation of Ireland, Aer Lingus, Lean In Ireland, Cpl’s Future of Work Institute, Deloitte, Techfindr, The eCommerce Summit, Cornmarket Group, The Sanctuary Runners, myAccessHub and Scale Ireland to share their expert views on topics including; Opening consumers’ minds to Open Banking, Driving diversity beyond gender, Will AI eliminate gender bias and How will Generation Z pay for goods and services?

Speaking at the event, Ger O’Sullivan CFO of Fexco said:

“The celebration of International Women’s Day through a conference that contrasts diversity topics with discussions on Open Banking reflects Fexco’s position as a leading global Fintech organisation which has Diversity and Respect for the Individual as its founding core values”.

Commenting ahead of her role as speaker at the event, Breda McCague, Co- Founder of Lean In Ireland said:
