RDI Hub Appoints Fergal Brosnan as New CEO

The RDI Hub – a not-for-profit public-private partnership co-founded by Fexco, Munster Technological University, and Kerry County Council – has announced the appointment of Fergal Brosnan as its new Chief Executive Officer. He succeeds Liam Cronin, who has taken up the role of Director of Innovation at NovaUCD.

Fergal brings more than 20 years of executive experience across global markets including Ireland, the UK, Europe, the US, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. Most recently, he served as Head of Strategy Development at Bank of Ireland, where he led major transformation and investment initiatives. His career also includes senior roles at Validant, Rethink Group, and Berkley Group, where he drove international expansion, M&A integration, and digital innovation.

Commenting on his appointment, Fergal said:

By expanding our offering to engage start-ups, scale-ups, corporates, and international partners, we’ll strengthen our role as Ireland’s gateway to Europe – a place where innovation happens through collaboration, mentorship, and shared ambition.”

Since its launch, the RDI Hub has supported more than 100 start-ups and scaling companies, helping them secure over €250 million in funding, create more than 430 jobs, and launch 70 new products and services. Over 10,000 people have participated in RDI Hub training programmes since 2020.

Fexco continues to play a key role in supporting the RDI Hub’s mission to drive innovation and entrepreneurship in the southwest of Ireland and beyond.
